Since we'll be working closely together, I figure you should get to know me a little better! I'm a wife and a mom to a handsome little boy. I love traveling to beaches on vacation and spending time with my family. I live an active lifestyle and am constantly on the move. I'm a huge iced coffee drinker, even in the winter, and I'm a sucker for ice cream!

I started this practice to provide the best possible speech-language therapy for children. I have always loved working with kids and let that love drive my education and career. While being a certified teacher and speech-language pathologist, I continue to dive into how to best effectively deliver therapy services that not only produce results but that also provide fun and enriching activities along the way! Through my years as a clinician, I've learned countless techniques I choose to put into practice but I've also witnessed procedures and techniques I definitely do not want to practice. It is with that growth mindset that I have decided to open my own practice and provide the best possible therapy services.

My "why" is simple. Communication is at the center of everything we do. It is how we express our opinions, thoughts, etc. It is how we understand stories that provide meaning and how we understand another person's point of view. It is how we build relationships and connections. Communication is not optional and it is my goal to assist you and your child in achieving communicative success.

Education

2012-2016

Western Michigan University

2016

Intern Teaching

2017-2019

Eastern Michigan University

I attended WMU as an undergraduate student majoring in communication sciences and disorders with a minor in elementary education. While there I worked at the on campus literacy clinic as well as assisted licensed professionals in the evaluation process for Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnoses.

While at WMU I was able to obtain the credentials needed to become a certified elementary teacher in addition to fulfilling the undergraduate requirements for speech language pathologist licensure. I completed my intern teaching in a kindergarten classroom and obtained my Michigan teaching certification upon graduation with my Masters degree!

I attended EMU for my masters degree where I majored in communication sciences and disorders. Here, I gained practical experience in multiple settings with varying demographics that have helped me become successful beyond the classroom.
